Description
Solar Energy
Solar energy harnesses the power of sunlight to generate electricity through photovoltaic (PV) cells or concentrated solar power (CSP) systems. PV cells directly convert sunlight into electricity, while CSP systems use mirrors or lenses to concentrate sunlight to produce steam, which drives turbines to generate electricity.
Wind Energy
Wind energy utilizes wind turbines to convert the kinetic energy of wind into electrical energy. As the wind blows, it rotates the turbine blades, which drive a generator to produce electricity. Wind farms are established in locations with consistent and strong wind patterns.
Hydropower
Hydropower involves the generation of electricity from the movement of water. It is typically achieved by constructing dams or barrages to store water, which is then released to drive turbines and generate electricity. Hydropower is one of the oldest and most widely used forms of renewable energy.
